Is it important to keep the thought of your tulpa in the background? If it is then how do you do it??

I'm trying to create my first tulpa and I read in a guide about keeping the thought of your tulpa in the background while doing other things. I'm not sure what it exactly meant either

the closest to that that i can think of is tulpa narration which means you narrate all the actions and surroundings to your tulpa, while keeping them in the background

it's not something i would say is something for tulpa creation but for consolidation them

if you want to try to keep them around more like that, I recommend creating something that reminds you of them. Like a bracelet, for example. And whenever you think of the bracelet you will think of them

that's a very good advice

it was a cool project. We made a two-sided chevron bracelet that we used as a fronting indicator. I made my side and she made her side while she fronted, and then I stuck the two sides together

Is it weird that I actually dislike deviating from my source material? With the other fictives, they felt happy, or neutral about it, but for me it feels uncomfortable for some reason I can't quite place.

some of them I think are purposely averse to understanding peoples points. Others are purposefully terrible at communicating a point.

That's good. For visualizing a tulpa, maybe it would help to find an image of how they look, and use it as a reference?
